A perfect way to spend the day is with Beverly at http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog
Enjoyed while it lasted. They cannot endure this Texas heat.

Texas and Arizona probably have a lot of flowers killed from the heat

Beautiful rose. This is the first I am growing roses and I am in love. They're so beautiful. Here in Minnesota we are having a heat wave but thankfully mine are potted so I can move them to the shade during the hottest part of the day.

Very pretty! I've heard that it has been VERY hot down there! Up here in PA, we've had some heat, but nothing major. It never gets very hot here. I'm dreading the thought of winter...we already have some leaves falling...

Dearest LV.,
Summer is very harsh for any plant or shrub.
Here we have had too much rain and that is rough too.
Hugs,
Mariette

I used to grow roses when I lived near Houston. It was a constant fight with the heat, humidity, and the various maladies that roses can get.

I love your yellow rose.
