After a slow start, summer has arrived in full blast. Past several days in 100's with heat index much higher. No relief in sight. I am going to pay Susan a visit at http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com and see what cool things I can find.
He may be a gentle pup, but his eyes say to me "beware".
This is what you would pay if you could find them back in depression days. We had our own chickens and eggs.

The dog does seem to be saying don't push me too far and I wouldn't even though he is a beauty.
I would certainly stand back from that dog. 14 cents a dozen! I was telling my husband I paid 9.99 for bacon yesterday. I remember being shocked at 73 cents a pound back in 1971. Unbelievable.
Thanks for visiting today LaVoice. Happy Birthday to your son and how lovely that you have an almost 13 year old grandson. Hugs are the best aren't they.
Hugs for you.

I agree. This beautiful dog is spooky. No friendliness or emotion at all in those eyes. When we were first married, my weekly grocery shopping budget was $15.00. Ground beef was fifteen cents a pound.
Yes the handsome dog has a certain demeanour, and thanks for the reminder of days in the distant past when eggs were 14C a dozen.
All the best,
Jan
Yes, we finally have summer this week too.
14 cents a dozen BIG difference now. However, I noticed 49 cents a dozen at Kwik Trip a gas station nearby. Usually they are almost $2 a dozen during the year.
We spent last week on a pontoon boat and it was in the 100's, took several leaps into the lake.

What a beautiful dog. I just dug out a craft item from my stash of some years ago, and the $1 item is now $10. Wow! You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.
That's about over two bucks in today's dollars, so I can find egg dozens cheaper today
Yes, stern eye there :)
Happy ODW!
