Anything Goes Pink Saturday

Since Beverly is allowing us to share "anything" on Pink Saturday, took her word for today. However, should my post be of no interest to you. please go to http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog a wonderful variety of interesting sights await you.
In all my 87 years, never have I seen a real  flower bingo card. As I have mentioned on occasion, I play at least once or twice a week in a nice bingo hall.  All ages play, but mostly seniors. It's something we enjoy as it gets us out of the house, keeps mind active, and make new friends. I have met some truly lovely people. The down side is there have been several that passed away the past year. We lost the sweetest little lady (92) last week. They said she played everyday that her family brought her. Since she devoted so much time to playing bingo, the family had this flower arrangement made to look like a bingo card. After her service, it was brought to the bingo hall so everyone could see it. The numbers got messed up in the moving process.

She used a walker.  She had a certain place she sat each day that was accessible for her walker.  These flowers were left in "her spot" in her honor.

Aww... that brought a tear to my eye, especially the flowers left in her spot at your bingo gathering.
That Bingo flower arrangement was quite unique and special.
You dear lady, are an inspiration to me! ♡

The Lord bless you~~

What a sad story; I am so sorry. This flowering bingo card is so unique and beautiful, she would have loved it! This is one of the worst things about getting old for me, I have watched so many of my friends die. Most of them have now died, but I keep making new friends. Life must go on, but how sad.

Oh- That makes my heart hurt. I am so glad she enjoyed Bingo and was able to go for as long as she did. How wonderful that her family make a bingo card flower tribute to her. How special was that! Blessings, LV. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. xo Diana

I really do wish bingo was more skill based. I hate games where I can't really determine the outcome in any way.

What a kind remembrance and how lovely that her family was able to bring her to the bingo hall to play so often.

Very creative flower arrangement! Sorry for your loss of a bingo partner but I am sure she will always have a seat there.

Hi LaVoice, what a sweet and thoughtful arrangement of a wonderful Bingo gal! How kind that everyone who played with her at the Bingo Hall shared those beautiful flowers.
You share so many thoughtful and kind posts. I am wearing my Jason Whitten shirt today. Shhhh.....I cannot in good conscience, root for the Patriots, so I am cheering alongside Noelle and her beloved Cowboys. My Uncle Tom, in heaven would be so proud of me! Have a delightful week. xo
