Dearest LV, Blue jays are lovely to watch. As for not being successful in growing tulip bulbs into blooming beauties. That is because the pesky VOLES snack on their bulbs as being their gourmet food. So we don't plant them into full ground anymore but in planters instead. Sending you hugs, Mariette
Daffodils are even a bit poisonous to those critters and that's the reason they thrive!
