Vintage Thingie Thursday

Another exciting vintage day with Coloradolady and friends. Check out what each one is sharing at http://coloradolady.blogspot.com

A very nice vintage sewing display that a seamstress might enjoy.

A 1950 Vintage Red Goose advertising shoe sign.  Wish I had one of these.  Looked them up and it is unbelievable what the asking price was.
This special lady and I came from the same depression time frame, just traveled down different paths of life.  I always admired her. Another of the good ones gone.

What a pretty post. I love the sewing station! I loved Shirley Temple, I have vintage movies of her's that I have collected and watch with my two g'girls. My mom was a blond kid and my grandma used to curl her hair when she was Little so she can look like Shirley, lol! My mom is 84 and perfect...like you! Happy Valentyine's sweet lady.
Love,

I love seeing all the sewing things, but the person who created the display doesn't know one side of a sewing machine from the other! The little machine at the top left is show backwards!

Hello dear LV.........A sweet and pretty post, as always. The sewing station is a great idea for keeping everything handy plus it looks great. Love the “Red Goose Shoes” sign, really neat. I grew up watching little Shirley Temple. What clean and wholesome movies. Wish this generation could appreciate such things........
Wishing you a beautiful and Happy Valentine’s Day!

Hugs,
Emily

A shoe store in town still has the HUGE Red Goose Shoes sign on the end of it's building. I keep meaning to photograph it. Happy VTT!

I love vintage sewing items LV! I remember an episode on Pickers where they found some Red Goose advertising and it was way pricey!

Hello dear LV... and thank you so much for your visit and comment... I so remember the Red Goose Sign... as a little girl, my mama and daddy would take us into the Red Goose Shoe store in Salt Lake City for new shoes... what happy memories!... xoxo Julie Marie

I'm a little younger than you, but Shirley Temple was still popular ... we had a movie theater that showed old movies...Heidi was my favorite.

New shoes were a big event when we were kids! I remember Buster Brown better than Red Goose, but the idea is the same...
