The Wise Old Owl
Sat In The Oak
The More He Heard
The More He Spoke
The Less He Spoke
The More He Heard
Why Aren't We Like
That Wise Old Owl?
The More He Heard
The More He Spoke
The Less He Spoke
The More He Heard
Why Aren't We Like
That Wise Old Owl?

Nice saying. Made me smile. Thank you.
Oh, I remember this! It brings back memories, I had forgotten all about it. Thanks for the memories.

Good advice, wise is we should all strive for. Thanks for commenting on my sign today--I'm way past 50 also.

My granny taught me that poem -- more years ago than I care to think about. Thanks for the reminder -- and it is, of course, still great advice.
It may be old advice, but still great advice! thanks for a timely reminder!

What a wonderful saying! It reminds of what my dad used to tell me when I was a kid; We have ONE mouth and TWO ears for a reason. My quiet daddy is living proof that listening twice as much as one talks makes one wise. :)
Great advice.
Thanks for sharing this great (and wise) poem with us.

I think certain people (politicians!) should heed the words in this poem!
