Vintage Thingies Thursday

My Vintage Thingies Thursday visit with Coloradolady will be a little different. I trust some of these things will be of interest to you.

All of these items are very old. At one time, they belonged to my brother-in-law's late father. He was a sergeant during World War 2. He was stationed near or around India. He sent or brought back all of the things I am featuring today. My brother-in-law now has all these.

I found this ashtray interesting. Those are real coins around the edges.

OMG....there has to be something wrong with me for sure now...I have been sitting here trying to figure out who the heck your brother in law is.....maybe if you would have said "husband-in-law" I would not have been racking my brain trying to figure this out! Please.....help me!!!!

The ash tray is really neat, very unusual...but than again, all of these are neat items....Happy VTT and pray for my sanity!

Check out those coins. They could be very valuable. That is one cool ashtray.
What's the first photo? ink wells? If it is..., those are really collectables. They are very pretty.

I found your BIL's collection fascinating. I googled centavos and was surprised to find it a Mexican coin. Thanks for sharing.

Family relational names always confuse me too.

The workmanship on these is amazing! My grandfather had a similar ashtray from Greece.
