Should you wish to see some truly breath taking scenes around the world, please join me at "Sky Watch". This is the third time I have ventured out into this beautiful land.
Last week we experienced several days of stormy weather. The following photos were of the unusual cloud formations that appeared after the storm. I had never seen clouds like these. They reminded me of rolls or marshmallows. These pictures were made while standing in my driveway. Perhaps some of you Sky Watchers have seen something similar, but still wanted to share these with you. Enjoy!
Look close at this photo, even the planes waited till the storm passed to fly.

Hi LV, I love the way those gathering clouds look just like cotton balls. You take wonderful photos.
Thank you for visiting my blog :D
OMG! Whoah! And dozen of other whutnuts. Those are truly unique. Now I've seen it all. Thank you so much for sharing! Happy SWF!
I have only seen clouds like this once, a little over a year ago. They were truly strange, and we all felt really "weird" while we were watching them!!!
To "pkrl", thank you so much for your kind words and visiting my post. I went to yours, but did not know your language. I truly enjoyed the pictures so much.

This is very interesting. I have never seen clouds like this. What do you suppose makes this happen?
Very nice mammatus-clouds. It´s not very often you see these. They usually appear on the edge of larger cloud mass during storms. Thanks for sharing. Great stuff.
These are really special clouds, well done, love to take pictures from dramatic skies, these are perfect!!
Have a nice SWF
Greetings from NL
Eric, if you happen to visit again, I tried to comment on your post, but sorry to say, I did not understand. Thanks anyway for visiting me. Your photos were truly breathtaking.
Those are fascinating views of the post-storm sky!
love the cloud photos...really neat looking, and so unusual.
You're right - they do look like marshmallows!
Great shots.
Blessings!
I just happened by via Postcardy and am so glad that I didn't miss these gorgeous and amazing cloud photos. You are a remarkable photographer! I do hope you sent these to your local TV weather reporter. Our reporters in Portland, OR, would definitely show those on the news with a description of what kind of cloud they are and happily crediting the photographer.
These are stunning.
They're called mammulus clouds. I haven't seen any since I left New Zealand.
Really nice captures !!
What interesting formations.
We had wierd clouds sort of like that here in southern California a couple of weeks ago. I had never seen clouds like that here.
Good pictures but the storms did look scary---
Those clouds looks like cotton balls! How cool!
Spooky yet intriguing!
