Anything Goes Pink Saturday

I know Valentine has come and gone, but wanted to share a surprise time for me.  Pay a visit to
http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog and see many pretty shares.

From the time I was big enough to walk, I have a "thing" about mailboxes. Back when, rarely received anything, but such a thrill if we did. Even today, look forward to the mail being delivered.  Such a let down when there is nothing.  Wanted to share some mail that was a wonderful surprise.

Valentines I received, but do not recognize the names. There were two I know from blog land.  The others may be bloggers, but if so, sorry I do not recognize you.  Regardless, you truly made my day.  I love surprises and this was a good one.
We share same name on this one.

This pretty, crochet heart was enclosed in the this card.

Hi LV,
The mailbox is so pretty! My parents once painted our mailbox when I was a little girl. They were both artists and they painted our cocker spaniel pup, Jingles, on it. It was the snazziest mailbox in our neighbourhood. Your Valentines are lovely too. I am visiting from Beverly's party. Have a wonderful weekend.

Blessings,
Sandi

Oh, I love to get mail too. It's so disappointing when all there is in the box is junk mail that goes straight to recycle.
Love the pink mailbox!

Oh- How very, very sweet, LV. I love mailboxes, too. It was a big thing when I was a kid. I had 2 or 3 penpals in Hawaii and we wrote back and forth every week. xo Diana

How sweet! I use to have a couple of penpals that I met through the country magazines. We would exchange goodies and gifts. Such fun!

Thanks to parcels, at least real mail has survived to some point. I remember when email first came out and we all got AOL on the computers and hearing that "you got mail" sound.

Hi LV, I have to admit I gave your name to my Encouragement Group too. We were filling mailboxes with Valentine's! I love getting them so I do love sending them as well. Those ladies are so kind hearted. We have sent cards of encouragement to police officers and to wives of military and police and pastor as as well as all of the too. I think sometime when we have an off day it is a blessing to reach into the mailbox and find a special treat or too. days for my last birthday, my childhood friend, Karen, the friend I have known since we shared playtime in a playpen together, sent me a sweet card. It said I was the queen for a day and it reminded her of a T.V. show we watched with our others as small girls. Gosh, she made me cry happy tears especially because these days she lives in Idaho! What fun I have picking out cards for people I know and even those I do not know. Glad your mailbox was full. I could not find my blog book with your address so Suzanne, in the midst of wedding plans for her daughter, stopped and sent it to me. I see her at Face Book often. Hugs to you my friend. x o
