Don't understand and never will, WHY people want to clean up leaves?!
Let them be, it's the very best nature gives to us, it is the fertile humus for the soil and after all the rains it will decompose and only add to the rich layer for other plants to grow in.

Happy New Year! It is 10 above zero here in the Chicagoland area. Today it is going to warm up but we can't complain because this has been a warmer winter than usual compared to the last two winters anyways. Leaves on the ground can be a problem for us older folks to clean up. Those children in your photograph are having fun in the leaves. If only adults could just take in the moment of that joy they are experiencing....Thanks for sharing such a joyful image.
