Getting back to your comment that you didn't like Paris and people were unfriendly - sorry about that experience. My kids (when they were teens) didn't like it either when we visited - except for the Eiffel Tower, lol!
Was also in Nice (S. of France) - which has become a big city compared to the nineties when we were there last, and people were pretty friendly there.
