 A LOSING WINNER

Jillian is the proud owner of Bella Rosa Antiques. She has so many pretty things to share.  Take a peek at http://BellaRosaAntiques.blogspot.com

She recently had a giveaway honoring her on line store's 5th Anniversary. One of the rules to enter was to leave a comment and select which item you would prefer if you were the winner.

Since I was not born under a winning star, I seldom enter giveaways anymore. However, looking over all the wonderful things she had to select from, I left a comment.  There was a pretty green vintage Swarovski crystal bracelet that represented my birthstone, Peridot. I told her should I be the lucky winner that was my choice.

On Pink Saturday, she announced five winners, but I was not one of them. Curious about the bracelet, I decided to see if one of the winners might have chosen it. Guess what!  It had been marked SOLD. I accepted the fact, I lost again.

Last week, I was what you would call being on a roller coaster ride.  Lots of ups and downs. Needless to say all that came to a halt when the mail came Saturday. I was very surprised when I received a package from PA. Had no idea who it could be. However, when I opened it, I went into total shock. It was that lovely green, crystal bracelet.

Everybody has different opinions when it comes to comments. They are important to me and enjoyed very much. The only reason I am the proud owner of this bracelet is because a very popular blogger read my comment.  She is a very thoughtful, caring, wonderful cook and loved throughout the blog world. It is none other than our own "bj" at Sweet Nothings. She entertains all visitors at http://sweetnothingsbj.blogspot.com.

bj, it is not easy expressing my true feelings at times, but you really touched this senior. That was a really cool way to surprise me.  I really like the way you set everything up and made it an awesome time.  THANK YOU for thinking of me and taking the time to be so kind.

This is definitely not a good shot of my bracelet.  I could not seem to get the light right to capture its true color. I love it and so proud that a dear blogging friend cared.
This is the way it actually looks.   I took this off Jillian's blog. So very pretty.

This is vintage postcard that Jillian included as a bonus surprise.

Thank you so much bj and
Jillian.

How lovely! I wasn't born under a winning star either and have similar attitude about entering giveaways, but sometimes wishes do come true. Glad you got your bracelet with a beautiful vintage postcard to go with it and that there are nice and kind people like BJ and Jillian.

That's the best way to start my day: with a heart-warming act of random kindness story.

BJ rocks, and I am going to her blog right now to visit her.

What a sweet lady. Blogdom is amazing, isn't it? Some of the best people I have ever "met" have touched my life in ways they will never know.

Hugs to you today from me in Ohio.

That bj is something else. She is a marvelous and thoughtful fellow blogger. We discovered we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversaries about the same time 3 years ago. Been buddies ever since. Love that bracelet.

Your bracelet is lovely and you deserve it.

Hello LV, this is just the sweetest story and I am so happy for you. Bj is an awesome blogger and she loved surprising you I am sure. Jillian was so sweet to go along with bj as well. There is only one thing I can say. "You are loved." That includes me. The bracelet is beautiful.

We just arrived home from Fl. "again"
I didn't get on my computer for basically 6 days because I left my glasses at a friend's home the second day we were in FL. Silly me. I am so glad to be visiting you today and happy I have my glasses back.
Love, Jeanne
