Vintage Thingie Thursday

Another addition of Vintage Thingies Thursday has arrived.  Coloradolady invites you to drop by http://coloradolady.blogspot.com
for a great vintage show.

I am not familiar with this children's art.  Appear to represent some fairy tale.  Spotted in antique mall. The first one could be associated with Mother Goose and the other some kind of Knight.

Yes, Mother Goose. And the second one is Yankee Doodle. Remember, he went to town riding on a a pony and stuck a feather in his head and called it Macaroni.

I wonder if the youth of today ever heard of "Mother Goose". Kinda sad when you think about it!

Cherished Stories I grew up with and read to my children. Hopefully someone is sharing these stories with todays little folks.

I like these pieces, and I'm sure any child would love to have them in his/her room.
