Shadow Shot Sunday

Whatever you are doing today, take a minute and drop in on Hey Harriet. She has Shadow Shot Sunday each week, and you do not want to miss it. You will find many great shadows at http://heyharriet.blogspot.com.

Let the shadows fall where they may.

That's quite a ghostly leaf, and the shadows flitting across it make it all the more spooky!

SHADOW, SHADOW
(With apologies to William Blake)

Shadow, shadow lurking dark
In a corner of the park,
What immortal eye can see
Your transcendent symmetry?

Perhaps it is an albino leaf...We have had very little foliage color this year in Southern New England, perhaps the rain over the summer or Hurricane Irene. The leaves on the mulberry tree out front are avoiding color are merely falling off...This leaf is amazing!

How did the leaf turn white?

When I was in Borneo growing up, they sell the veins of leaves. I tried to go to the gardens and look for fallen leaves, but can only find partially veined leaves.
