VINTAGE THINGIES THURSDAY

Trust you enjoy my little post today brought to you by none other than Coloradolady and her Vintage Thingies Thursday. Take time and go to http://coloradolady.blogspot.com and see many other interesting vintage items.
This little pottery pitcher and custard cups are from the 50s or 60s time frame. I got these from my late sister-in-laws estate.
There is a marking on the bottom of the pitcher, but could not get a good copy. It is stamped, Universal Pottery Inc. Cambridge, made in USA and protected by patent 10754-65 pending.

They look so pretty lined up there on the windowsill. Do you ever use them or just keep them there for decoration?

Very nice pieces. Universal made some wonderful kitchen items. It is hard to find matching pieces so you have a treasure. I love them in your window. Matter of fact I love anything blue and white!!! ~~Sherry~~

They're so pretty, very unusual, I guess the closest we have is Cornish ware but that's striped all over.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog. Here in the UK we celebrate Mother's Day on the old holiday of Mothering Sunday, traditionally the fourth Sunday of Lent, so it's a moveable feast, like Easter. I believe it's when girls 'in service' at the big houses were allowed home to visit their mothers.
