BACK IN TIME TO 1929

Coloradolady at http://coloradolady.blogspot.com invites you to her regular weekly VTT social.

1929

This was a good year in one way. I was born. It was bad in other ways. The great depression. I would like to show just a few of things that were popular back then.

This is an awesome magazine..1929...O My Goodness..

I was born on the last day of '37..I still have some of the War Ration Books. We lived in Dallas and I can remember during WW2, the city had BLACK OUT and we all had to cover our windows with dark fabric so the "other" side couldn't see where to bomb us.

Enjoyed your post, sweet lady.

I am so glad that you had a chance to stop by to say hello. I do love my shiny reds...... I like the article/ad about the shoes. Oh my goodness, they might be practical but look a little on the heavy side. Thank you so much for sharing.

I enjoyed seeing the magazine images from that time. I'm a fan of comfortable shoes and would totally wear those, if they came in a 12, that is! :)
