Today for Coloradolady and her Vintage Thingies, I am featuring a couple of items from a recent antique mall trip.
An old Cracker Jack sign.
This is a Betsy Ross miniature child's electric sewing machine. It is from the 1950's time frame and made in the USA by the Gibraltar Mfg. Co. in New Jersey.

What great items! Boy, I ate my share of Cracker Jack as a kid, and looked forward to the prize in every box! Does the sewing machine still work? It's adorable either way!

I like the cracker jack sign-- the more you eat the more you want. Ah, if only we loved the healthier things in life.
And I would want a sewing machine like that too, better than a new one probably, for my own collection.:)
Love visiting antique malls too. I hope the sewing machine works. If not, it's still a great find.

Great Cracker Jacks sign. I want that Betsy Ross sewing machine in its carrying case...I just love it!
Thanks for sweet comments about my mother. Love the Cracker Jack sign! Remember when a box of Cracker Jack meant more to a kid than a video game does to kids today?
Love the cracker jack sign. Did you buy it? The sewing machine is really cute too. Happy thrifting!!

I especially like that Cracker Jack sign. My mom owns a local candy store with a 50's theme...she'd love to have that in her store! :)
