I will be out of town (4-15 through 4-20)when you are reading this. I regret not being here to acknowledge your comments. Just know they are appreciated.
This is a little snap open, two part coin purse. All my dad's life he carried this type coin purse. He never wanted a nice billfold. He went through several during his lifetime. This is the last one he was using when he passed away in 1987 at the age of 81. Back in those day, he had little money, so this worked fine for him.
Put your money on Coloradolady if you want to have a good time and see some of the best Vintage Thingies ever.
This is an old cane bottom chair. Except in this case, they used vintage men ties to cover the seat. What will they think of next!
ATTENTION:
Be sure to mark you calendars for a special edition blog at my place on Wednesday, April 28th. You do not want to miss it!

Cute!

Haven't seen one of those coin purses for many years, it must be a precious memento, and that is an unusual use for ties.
Look forward to posts about your trip.

Giving new life to old ties and a chair - that's what I call recycling in a very creative manner. Looking forward to 4-28.

Happy VTT..I so hope you're haveing a wonderful time..
I like vintage ties and I used them to make a crazy quilt. I think they are better for patchwork than chair seats.
Love the coin holder. I think it's so amazing that you still have it.

How sweet you've hung onto your dad's coin purse, what a great treasure! That is a very crafty use for old neckties, I like that! Much easier than learning to cane, lol! Happy VTT!

I'm with your daddy. I still carry a little coin purse just like his. It's a great way to keep your money and credit cards separate. Father knows best!

Have a safe trip! Aren't you lucky to still have your father's coin purse? I kept my daddy's pill bottle when he died. I know it's not much but it was his.
I'm missing you on this Pink Saturday. Hope you have a good trip.

Nice meme--hadn't heard of this one.
Everyone used to carry those nice leather coin purses, and then the tacky, bright-colored, soft plastic ones became popular--they were simply split on one side with no hinge or snap.
awesome coin purse!
