Today's Blue Monday is a little more special to me than usual. Trust Smiling Sally does not mind sharing with someone very important in my life.
I am sure some of you have seen and read my past blogs on my great grandson. His favorite color is blue so he likes Blue Monday. He is only five years old, but is always coming up with a way for me to share him on Blue Monday. In fact, I let him use my computer to enter these pictures onto my blog. He even remembered we need to put that "blue bird" picture on it.
These are three little cutouts he did of himself. Note his blue pants.
Three little hearts he cut out by himself with blue arrows.
Then to finalize his gift to me, a page of blue hugs and kisses. One of the most precious gifts of love I have ever had.
Layton, hope you enjoyed your blog for today. Love you more and more.

Vintage Thingies Thursday
My Vintage Thingies Thursday visit with Coloradolady will be a little different. I trust some of these things will be of interest to you.
All of these items are very old. At one time, they belonged to my brother-in-law's late father. He was a sergeant during World War 2. He was stationed near or around India. He sent or brought back all of the things I am featuring today. My brother-in-law now has all these.
I found this ashtray interesting. Those are real coins around the edges.

Outdoor Wednesday
This is just a very SMALL stack of the trees that were destroyed by our recent heavy snow. So many big, beautiful trees were destroyed. However, there is still beauty even in destruction. Just look at that lovely blue sky and floating little white clouds.
Another great Outdoor Wednesday with Susan, a Southern Day Dreamer.
They are being trucked in to various large locations around town and big machinery mulches them up.

AWARD TUESDAY
My very nice blogging friend, KAT at http://godsheart-heart2heart.blogspot.com. gave me this Prolific Blogger award. I am always flattered when someone thinks I am worthy of any award. Please drop by and visit with her. She is going through really rough times now and needs our prayers. Even with all she is going through, she still finds something good to say and do for people. She will inspire you. Thank you Kat for this special award.
In return, I would like to pass this award to five others. So many of my blogging friends are deserving. Wish I could give each of you one. I have a hard time selecting certain ones, but I am passing this one on to the following:

Blue Monday
Another Blue Monday has arrived. It is always nice when it rolls around. Smiling Sally's friends seem to come up with the best of the blues.
These are beautiful stained glass windows in my church. There are four on each side of the church. The fourth one shows the dove in the middle, but I accidentally deleted it.
This one the lily.
This one shows the bible.

Pink Saturday
Our lovely hostess, Beverly,as most of your know, had surgery. Even with all that going on, she wanted to make sure Pink Saturday was on schedule. Trust today, you are feeling much better. How Sweet the Sound will be to hear you say, "All is well with me".
This adorable pink mirror was in an antique mall. I liked it and thought how nice it would look for pink Saturday. The things in the background reflect different items in the booth. Take a good look at yourself and get ready for a big night out. The dress code is a pink poodle hop skirt with socks and loafers.
My new friend I visited this week is Dorothy at Counting My Blessings. She is truly a lovely lady, and you will be blessed by her blog. Her URL is htp://mawlot.blogspot.com.

Vintage Thingies Thursday
Great things are happening with Coloradolady and her Vintage Thingies Thursdays.
Taking vintage things and using them in today's world. This is a mirror my sister gave me a long time ago made from old horse hames.
This is another hames altered to use for hanging little dust catchers on. It has a lot of brass on it.
This is a rake that belonged to my parents without the handle. Somewhere along the way it got broken and never replaced.
An old plow point with a little touch of new paint.

Oudoor Wednesday
*************Texas - - February 11, 2010. History was made. 12 to 14 inches.
My Outdoor Wednesday with Susan, a Southern Daydreamer, is based on the unheard of happening for Texas.
It is hard to vision something this beautiful could cause so much damage and destruction.
All the following pictures are is just a glimpse of some of the damage.
These two are from my backyard.
This one from my neighborhood. I was so cold, I did not take time to get a good shot. But if you look close, there is a white truck under that big tree.
After what we went through and still going through, my heart goes out to those people in the eastern states.
