Pink Saturday

Sunbonnet Sue and I are happy to be back in the blogging world.  She decided to wear pink and be featured on Pink Saturday.  Many more lovely pinks can be found at

Suggestions:  Is there a simple solution to make downloading pictures to your blog faster?  Mine is too slow in my opinion. I use Windows 7.  Any help will be appreciated.

Tuesday With MeMe-Showers of Blessings

Texas is in a terrible drought.  Thank the good Lord, the heavens opened up over the weekend and blessed us with a much, much needed rain. Due to get more in the next few days.

I was truly thankful for this rain, but I have no adequate words to express my happiness and pleasure to so many blogging friends that showered me with lovely cards of concern. Worlds of people never hear from anyone let alone receive cards. Below is the best I could do to share my cards.  Received 79 all total.  I received a few after this photo was  taken.

Trust me this is no blessing.  My computer is driving me mad with so many issues.  I do not know what  the problems are, except I know when things are not working right.  Taking it to a "computer doctor".  I may not have a post up for a few days. Wanted you to know, so you would not think I was not up to par again.  So far, I am doing well. Will be back as soon as I can.

My granddaughter sent this to me.  I think it is just the cutest. And, it chose a blue chair.

Pink Saturday

One of the most popular blogs is Pink Saturday. Beverly, at
http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog
would love to have you drop by and say hello.

I would like to take this time to share with you a very, very small portion of the lovely get well cards I have received.  I picked the ones that had more pink for today. All total, through Thursday, I have gotten 76.  Absolutely unbelievable!  No one is better than the blogging family.  Each and every card has been  read more than once. You have touched me in away that words cannot describe.  Your kindness, thoughtfulness, prayers have been one of the greatest blessings I have had in a long time.
I am trying to figure out a way I can display all of them to share with you. I am doing fine and glad to be back with my friends. It is hard to keep an old lady down. Also, I had a thank you on Blue Monday this week.

My problem now is with my computer or blogger.  Really been stressing me out.  Problem with comments and downloading images.

Thank you Beverly for everything.  You are a wonderful lady, friend and special hostess to us each week.

Vintage Thingie Thursday

Another exciting day for Vintage Thingie Thursday. So many neat and interesting vintage goodies can be found at http://coloradolady.blogspot.com

The following is the tiniest canister set ever.  It belongs to my sister. A few years ago, she downsized almost to the bear walls, but kept this little treasure. The set was given to her by our niece, Coloradolady many years ago.

This very inexpensive duck planter also belongs to my sister.  Our mother gave it to her back in the mid-forties for Christmas. I got a different style planter, according to my sister, but do not recall what it was or what happened to it.

Blue Monday

Smiling Sally
So nice being back with Sally and all her Blue Monday bunch. To view some of the best blues go to http://smilingsally.blogspot.com

I went the wrong way for a few days, but doing very well now.  I have had a lot of personal diagnosis, but no professional. Nothing serious though. Sometimes our bodies just get out of whack. Seeing the doctor next week to have some test made.

I do not have adequate words to express my appreciation to all of you for the outpouring of concerns and prayers. It is simply overwhelming. Better than any medicine. To someone at my stage in life, it is unbelievable. There are way too many of the older generation that do not have that.  I am truly blessed.

Using a quote from Pam Brown that I feel it is very fitting.

"A friendship can weather most things and thrive in thin soil; but it needs a little mulch of cards, letters and phone calls, just to save it from drying out completely"

Cards have always been my weakness. Love sending and receiving. Through Saturday, I have received 62. I have enjoyed each one so much and they gave great pleasure. They just do not come better than the blogging family. I have been truly touched by your response.

Bloggers ARE great FRIENDS

Hello! This is Suzanne, from Coloradolady blog. My Aunt is Lavoice, aka MEME. She has been sick for about a week and is still not well. Not sure what is going on, but she is just not up to getting on the computer. Hopefully, this week she will know something more. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

I thought I'd do a post for her here...(without her permission) and let you know what was going on....and to request a simple get well card or well wishes card be sent her way! I feel pretty safe in posting this, and will remove the post in a day or so...so she doesn't catch me! HAHA.

She loves her blogging friends, and a mailbox FULL of well wishes would brighten her day!!! I posted about this on my BLOG. CLICK HERE for the information. She has 722 followers....and if half sent her a card...she would be THRILLED...and it would mean the world to her!

Thanks in advance......please follow over to my blog and get the mailing information. THANK YOU ALL FOR BEING SUCH WONDERFUL FRIENDS!
