Pink Saturday is Three Years Old

Three years ago today Pink Saturday was born. Beverly, the mother of this great blog, has kept us entertained well. She is throwing a big birthday celebration and everyone is invited. She is located at http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog.

I rented this big,long, pink limousine so I would arrive in style.

This is Beverly's home where all this activity is taking place.

Beverly has many friends, but this lady stands out among the crowd.

Her study/office where she planned and made the arrangements for this birthday party.


Beverly's lovely new kitchen were all the great refreshments were prepared for this special event.

She is really treating us with this pretty table setting. If you notice, she is using her Mayfair Depression Glasses. Do be careful with them as they are one of her treasured possessions.

This is another pink treasure from her home.

After refreshments, we can all go outside and enjoy the beauty of her rose garden.




We are not the only ones impressed with Beverly and her Pink Saturday. In 2010, "Artful Blogging" magazine honored her with a feature. It was a wonderful article that even mentioned some of the her Pink Saturday participates.


My first Pink Saturday participation was July 4, 2009. I was a new kid on the blog. Only had a blog for three months. Did not know or understand very much about anything let alone Pink Saturday. Thank you Beverly for letting me be a part of your great blog world. I have had a Pink blast. I truly enjoyed participating each week, and getting to know you and so many great people.

Vintage Bedding

Thia is one of my many vintage quilts. I have had it so long I cannot recall where I go it.

These are two pillow cases I had the opportunity to get from my sister-in-law's estate. I have no idea why she selected these days for them. The cotton fabric she used is so soft.

playing a round of golf. This tournament took place this week. For the first time, they had a special day for children. My great grandson, Layton, attended. They had this set up to look like the real thing. He really enjoyed it as he is taking golf lessons. And, doing quite well.
We could join these two happy, "snaggel-tooth" faces for a little baseball. This is Layton and his best friend Wyatt.

What to Wear for Pink Saturday's Birthday

While I was wondering through an antique mall, I overheard these two chatting about attending the Three Year Birthday party. She had decided to wear this pretty dress with touches of pink. He selected a green suit with a pink bow tie. She informed him not to forget to bring Beverly a pink rose.

I told them they could pick one from my bush if they forgot.

I found a delightful lady's blog this week. We have a few things in common. She is a big country music fan and loves Nashville. Jackie, at http://jackiecarl.blogspot.com. calls her blog "NaSHVilLeNuT". She is someone you will be happy to meet.
