Amen, LV. God bless our veterans. I love volunteering at the Va and doing the little bit I do there to service them. xo Diana

True what Ginny had said. It's sad but thanks to their sacrifice, the country is strong and peaceful

Though I have never served, I am proud of my father's service to our country, and thank all the service men and women who sacrifice to keep our nation free and safe. As a previous poster stated, it's a sad 'holiday,' - but one that is an honor to acknowledge.

I love the photo of the star in your post, it's beautiful - please forgive my ignorance - what is it? Is it metal inlaid into cement? Or drawn?

I've arrived via Beverly's Pink Saturday Blog Hop - thanks for sharing.

So many of the men in my family have served our country, including my son, son in law and grandsons. God bless all our veterans and service men and women, both past and present. You have a super weekend, hugs, Edna B.
