Blue Monday

Smiling Sally

So thankful it is Monday and the rain is supposed to be moving out.  Fort Worth, Texas, where I live, the weather goes to the extremes.  One year we are in a terrible drought and this year being washed away.  It has rained here for days.  Roads and streets closed. Some pasture areas with pretty horses, looks like a river. They barely got the horses out. One thing far sure I am going to see Sally at
http://smilingsally.blogspot.com as I understand where she lives it is the sunshine state.

I have not been out of the house in two days.  Too cold and rainy to suit me.  Anyone venturing out would definitely need one of these and the raincoat as well.

Even your pets would have need protection.

I wish when I get up Monday morning, I would see such a welcome sight.

OH- I hope your rain has let up now, LV! It makes for a cold, miserable time when it rains like that for that long. Blessings- xo Diana

Hello friend! I enjoyed that photo of the dog in its rain gear. My brother and sister-in-law were here over Thanksgiving. They are in the process of building a house near Wichita Falls. Her father had a sent her a photo. It looks like their house is in the middle of a lake! Hope it all dries up quickly! My sister-in-law said the worst thing is that very little makes it down to the water table because the ground is so dry and hard, it all just runs off to who knows where! Hope you get out of the house soon!

Hi La Voice,

I know you THOUGHT that you linked in incorrectly, but I swear, I did nothing and it's working fine. Sometimes, if more than one person is linking in at the same time, it jams. (ah well)

Thanks for sharing your blues. I wish some sunshine for you!

Happy Blue Monday!

Yes it's so rainy and windy here in St Louis Area too. Kind of foggy. Not good dog
walking weather.

Having lived over 20 years in Dallas, I know the extremes very well. Before moving there I did not truly know what it meant to "drizzle." Worst were the occasional ice storms which shut down the highways. They seemed to happen just when I was driving to DFW airport or returning from a business trip.
