Pink Saturday

According to the calendar, this is the first Pink Spring Saturday.  I am not sure some people are experiencing Spring just yet.  No doubt if you go to
http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog, you will find pretty pinks to brighten you day.

These are three sets of crochet in pink that I have inherited from different family estates. I have a very large assortment of others, that I use all over my house.

Oh! I love that intricate crochet work. I used to do a lot of that.

I don't know when people stopped decorating with doilies, but I miss them. Now we see them sewn together on clothing and although it's creative having beauties like these on a table is my idea of lovely.

I love doilies, too!
Yours are beautiful.... and pink.
Like you.... I have tons of them. I use them in my vintage/shabby chic decor.
I use the tattered or stained ones in my altered art projects. They are still beautiful and useful.
Thanks for sharing!
Will visit again soon.

Happy Pink Saturday. I have seen similar patterns to the first two but never one like the last one. I wonder what the purpose of that one was...to be able to set something in the center of it I suppose. xo Diana

Nice. There is something about doilies that just make a house seem more homey. Happy Pink Saturday!

Dearest LV,
It is a pity that crocheting is no longer being taught at school. Creating such lovely pieces by hand is a great therapy and looks lovely inside any home.
Hugs and happy newe week.
