Vintage Thingie Thursday

The best show around on Thursday is Vintage Thursday with Coloradolady. When you go to http://coloradolady.blogspot.com you will see what I mean.

Spotted this book in an antique mall.  It sounded interesting, and definitely a vintage find.  I did not buy the book, so not sure what it is all about.

This was on one of the pages in front of the book. Figured if Mr. Emerson allowed his name on it, should be good reading.

So enjoy looking at the books of yesterday. I can spend hours happily in used books stores.

I love the old books and still can't part with my dad's set of the Book of Knowledge - black and white photos from 1919.

Thanks for enjoying and appreciating my Ice Hockey Player painting!

I love a good book so a vintage beauty would be fun to read! Always a pleasure to visit one of my favorite ladies! I hope you are well and want to thank you for your kind words that often really make a difference in my day! Work is difficult as ever and my hubby had to take his brother to the emergency room. We are waiting to hear from him. I am glad I have had the opportunity to meet you, you are a special dear friend! Hugs Anne

Love this old book!

The title is very interesting! It must be a newer edition than 1927, because it looks in such good shape. I think I will Google it!!!

Hi, LV,
Thanks for stopping by. I too love old books, mostly for the covers. Great for decorating.

I plan on googling that book also. I love old books. Some I can get at my library on my Kindle.

Such an odd title--how can a beggar be arrogant? I really enjoy vintage books.

My sister & I both love old books and probably would have had a hard time leaving that one behind :-)
