Sunday Mighty Warriors

We had a fund drive to help the youth going to camp. In the foyer we had two jars. One for men and one for ladies. The winner would be determined by the amount of money collected. If the men lost, they had to wear pink. Ladies lost had to wear camo. As you can see, the ladies lost. Some of these dear ladies are always so prim and proper each Sunday, I was shocked seeing them dressed like this. After seeing them, I felt I was undressed for the occasion.

The little lady on the right is our oldest member. She is 96 and will be 97 in August. Still spry more than you can imagine. Her husband was the pastor at the time I became a member.

We gals may have lost this battle with the guys, but we had fun losing.
As if you did not know, that's me on the top, right hand corner.
You might recognize one of these two. The other lady is 90 and very active.

What a fun fundraiser! Guess the guys really are afraid of wearing pink:@)

You all look better in camo than the guys would have looked in pink anyway! Love the yellow flower on the ladies hat. :)
Sure is a fun way to raise money. Have a BEAUTIFUL day!

Hello!
It was a fun event, but I wonder how many men would have dared to dress in pink? The woman on the right (LV) appears to be a very handsome lady. Wonderful to see all the community. . There are too many old people are sitting all alone.
Now I will go down to "guest house" and paint a few hours. The doctor has told me not to go so much.
Hugs
Elisabeth

I loved this! Too cute and fun. I bet a lot of those boys voted for themselves so they wouldn't have to wear pink *wink*

What fun!!! Although I think I would have enjoyed seeing the men wearing pink even more! Did the church provide the camo? We had a fund raiser for our youth yesterday, too. But nothing as much fun as this. We had a yard sale, car wash, pancake breakfast, and hot dog lunch.

LV,
what a cute post! I bet some of those ladies had a hard time dressing like that or on the other hand they probably got a hoot out of it!
It is amazing how some people can live into their 90's and do so well while others fall apart in their 50's. I am the latter unfortunately....

Deb

What a neat idea for a fund-raiser! You ladies were very good sports about losing, and, I must admit, look better in cameo than most men do.
