Outdoor Wednesday

Welcome to another edition of Outdoor Wednesday. Our announcer for this great show is none other than Susan, A Southern Daydreamer.

Along the back road, I travel often to avoid the freeways, is a place with all different animals. These few llamas were near enough to the road for me to take these pictures. They are very social, gentle animals. They like living in herds. They were imported from South America in the 20th century into the USA and Canada.

HI LV

Thanks for popping over my way.. it's always a delight to meet new friends....

Well these llamas are a funny bunch... such strange looking animals.. for some reason it reminds me of the day I was chased by an emu!! I was only 8 and my siblings thought it hilarious... perhaps that is why i am regressing to childhood now and playing with toy chairs.. hehehe

I love your sky watch photos.. is there nothing more glorious than the sky??? Take care x Julie

Excellent photos!! I remember the first time I saw llamas. And then, down the road a piece was an ostrich farm. So diverse the both of them, and so unique in our countryside.

My Wednesday post & sketch can be found HERE. I invite you to stop by for a visit if you can find time in your busy day.

Hello LV,
Here we are at the same party today! That's me in the jammies. :)
There are a lot of ranchers near us raising llamas and alpaca. They are wonderful to see, aren't they?
I hope you have a beautiful day today!

Farmers have them here in Canada to protect their sheep. Apparently they are not one bit afraid of coyotes and will either scare them off or kill them.
