Outdoor Wednesday

Welcome to my second Christmas Outdoor Wednesday with Susan at "A Southern Daydreamer".

The neighbor across the street has a huge burr oak tree. Several years ago, a smaller tree came up from one of the huge acorns. They did not need another tree of this type. It was transplanted in my yard. This is my burr oak tree as of today.

The acorns have been twice this size over the years. Due to unusual weather conditions this year, they are somewhat smaller.

I took some of these acorns to my great grandson to see, and perhaps use in a school project. Instead, he and NANA(his grandmother)created this beautiful wreath with some of the acorns as decorations.

Now these little cuties are angels they made from the acorns. Layton, my great grandson, did the painting on them. His NANA added the faces and wings.

This is the little angel I got to bring home. How sweet it is!

This lion was the one I was fortunate enough to be given. It is different from the other, as his little face moves around.

These two pictures are of the same lion. It's face does not move, but wanted to show you a closeup of the details they put on his little face.

BLESSINGS TO ALL MY READERS.

Good morning LV!
Loved your post, the wreath and the sweet (so very sweet) little characters made from acorns. This reminds me of a book that I used to read to my daughter called "The Giving Tree".

Thank you so much to stopping by my little blog and for your kind comment.

Wishing you a very happy day today!
