Blue Monday

All Blue Monday bloggers, join me in helping Sally at Smiling Sally move. They are finally getting into their new home. Wishing each of you the best for the holiday season.

If I decorate my house perfectly with plaid bows, strands of twinkling lights and shiny balls, but do not show love to my family, I'm just another decorator.

If I slave away in the kitchen, baking dozens of Christmas cookies, preparing meals and arranging a beautiful table at mealtime, but do not show love to my family, I'm just another cook.

If I work at the soup kitchen, carol in the nursing home, and give all that I have to charity, but do not show love to my family, it profits me nothing.

If I trim the tree, attend parties and sing in the choir's cantata, but do no focus on Christ, I missed the point.

Love stops the cooking to hug the child.

Love is kind, though harried and tired.

Love does not yell at the kids to get out of the way, but is thankful they are there to be in the way.

Love does not give only to those who are able to give in return, but rejoices in giving to those who can't.

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never fails.

Video games will break, pearl necklaces will be lost, golf clubs will rust.

But giving the gift of love will endure.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE AND A BLESSED NEW YEAR.

PEACE

LV, you are so right about all. I have to stop and thank my family, I have to cook for them instead of others, I have to hug and give them my attention when they need it.
thanks for the reminder.
Happy Blue Monday

LaVoice, Beautiful, in this dog-eat-dog world we live in today, I have to be careful not to fall in the pits of commercialism.(not sure about this word)

Have a great day, dear lady.

Beautiful post! You did a wonderful job. This is why my house can be messy at times, because I spend more time on the floor playing than working.
Merry Christmas!

LV,

This post captures the very essence of what Christmas should be to all of us. May be all reflect on this during this Christmas and go out of our way to show our family and friends just how wonderful they are to our happiness.

Thank you for your beautiful Christmas card, I love the Texas theme and it's proudly displayed on my stair case!

HI LV!
First: I want to thank you alot for your lovely Xmascard, which arrived to me yesterday. Many greetings back to you from me!
Your words of Love were so good. It's true, that the most important things about Xmas are to give your love to your family, and remember the reason to celebrate xmas: that someone special was born.
Have a nice day!/
