Anything Goes Pink Saturday

I know in other parts of the world, your Pink Saturdays have already had cold weather.  However, in Texas, we had our first hard freeze last night.  Just staying in and visiting with Beverly at

If you are having a hard time selecting a gift, you can always do your own thing.

My granddaughter recently had a birthday.  Instead of trying to find something to her liking, I took an old shirt of mine and stapled money on it.

Or, you could try your hand at making something personally.  A very special, elder gentlemen, now deceased, made this for me many years ago.  One of my most treasured Christmas decorations.

I treasure the gifts that family and friends have made. I call them heart and hand gifts.

LV, thank you for stopping by my blog today and leaving a kind comment. Wow, that shirt with the one dollar bills is cool! I think it would be fun to watch someone walk around wearing that! :-) That has to be the most original thing I've seen in a while. I hope you have a fine weekend and send you kind regards from Seattle, where we had our first significant snow last night. John

Hello La Voice. Your granddaughter looks very happy with her birthday gift. I think the cozy flannel nightee my mother-in-law made for me the first Christmas after we were married was one of my favourite and treasured gifts - used for years until it wore out, but the memory stays.
