Anything Goes Pink Saturday

Welcome to another addition of Anything Goes Pink Saturday.  You will be really in the pink if you go to
http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog

I have two crepe myrtle bushes, one white and this one pink.  This pink really showed out this year.  Prettier than it has ever been.  Gone now tho.

Hi LV, I too love crepe myrtles and yours is lovely. Mine had been planted for three years and is still trying to take hold and bloom. They had a terrible set back when they were first planted because of 0 degrees for several days that winter. I hope they surprise me by next year.

Our daughter and her husband are having a grand time this week. We will miss them when they go home this weekend.

I hope you have a lovely weekend. Stay cool.
Love, Jeanne

It is huge with abundant blooms, and is beautiful!!! The ones here haven't even bloomed yet! They are one of the last plants of the summer to bloom.I love them, but it makes me sad to see them. Because I know that summer is coming to an end.

Dearest LV.,
You certainly got a lovely pink crepe myrtle!
While driving down south, all the way to Miami, we noticed that the best thing growing here in Georgia is the crepe myrtle. They withstand the heat and also are happy in the poor red clay soil. A shrub without any fuss.
But they bloom still here along the Interstate from Savannah to Dublin, we enjoyed them coming home on Tuesday afternoon.
Hugs,
Mariette
