Just a scoop of blue will do.
After our blessing of rain, the skies even looked brighter and bluer.

It's Friday's Fences with Jan and Jer. The best place to go to see some very interesting fences is
Same area along the California coast line. Just different angles.

The best show around on Thursday is Vintage Thursday with Coloradolady. When you go to http://coloradolady.blogspot.com you will see what I mean.
Spotted this book in an antique mall. It sounded interesting, and definitely a vintage find. I did not buy the book, so not sure what it is all about.
This was on one of the pages in front of the book. Figured if Mr. Emerson allowed his name on it, should be good reading.

NOT A SCENE YOU SEE EVERY DAY
Most of you know once in awhile I have to show off my great grandson, Layton. Normally, it is on Blue Monday as blue is his favorite color. However, today is a special capture. This was taken by his mother on her phone. The evening sun was shining through the shutters and makes the picture not as clear.
The pups name is Henry, French Bull Dog, and very expensive breed. Henry belongs to the neighbors across the street. He does not like being fenced in. He finds ways very often to get out and roam the neighborhood. He never fails to drop by and visit Layton. They have become big buddies and bonded very well. His owner is often out of town on business and they leave Henry with Layton's family. The owner has another the same breed except it is white. She is not as active or friendly as Henry.
Here is Layton and Henry playing chess. Notice how he has his paws on the board and making eye contact with Layton. He wants to make sure the right move is being made. This was not staged. He did it on his own.
Click photo for better view.
Another special occasion for Layton. It is dove season in Texas. He loves the outdoor activities. He got his own gun for Christmas. This was the first opportunity he had to go hunting. He got his dove on the first shot. He may be young, but believe me he is very cautious with his gun and how to use it. Knows more about them than some grown folks.

A good morning in Texas to join Blue Monday. We were blessed over the weekend with three inches of rain and cooler temperatures. Wherever you might be, drop by and say hello to Sally at http://smilingsally.blogspot.com
A very nice way to preserve an auto door.
The pretty blue sky making a great background for this neat work of art.

http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com. Some of the best outdoor features will be found.
Saw this sign in someone yards. It definitely speaks the truth.
Most anywhere around downtown, you can rent these bicycles. Easier to get around than in cars.
This give the impression of dancing waters. However, it is a metal display in front of a fire station.
I am one that never leaves home without my little point and shoot camera. You never know what interesting sights you might find.
I was stopped at a red light when this big truck pulled along beside me. Looked over and this was what I saw. My car reflected in his wheel.
Someone being creative in a funny way.
I saw this and could not resist. There are many cases just as the signs implies.
Boots are made for walking. However, they are not made for my walking.
Using my sprinkler in effort to save part of my back yard. However, it has not worked. With water restrictions, it cannot get enough.
Thanks for dropping by my place today.
