Pink Saturday

Pink Saturday with Beverly is a great way to end the week So many great blogging friends meet at
http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog to share their pretty pinks.
As another Cancer Awareness October comes to an end, featuring one more special person. This very elegant and stylish lady was one of the great female stars. We lost her much too soon from this disease that should have had a cure by now. Audry Hepburn passed away January 20, 1993 at the age of 63 from appendiceal cancer,
On a personal note:  Will be back on November 9 Pink Saturday. Going to visit my sister in Mississippi.

I didn't know she had cancer in her appendix. A little ironic for anyone to get cancer in their appendix since it serves no real function.

My mother is getting a Hysterectomy in a few weeks. Her ovaries are suppose to be removed as well, which gives her the relief that she won't have to worry about ovarian cancer.

Hi LV, I am a huge fan of Audrey Hepburn. I agree she died way too young. So did my mom at age 65 of cancer as well. My sister is recovering from cancer surgery as you know and she will be fine. They got it all. I hate cancer. I do not like the word hate except when it comes to this terrible disease.

Have a wonderful time visiting your sister. I know it means so much to be with our sisters. Smile.
Wishing you lots of happy days.
Love, Jeanne

I have some issues with cancer awareness. Once you have it, you don't need more awareness. My husband has prostate cancer. My first husband has colon cancer and is getting chemo.
It's been quite a fall for me.
Cheers from Cottage Country Ontario , ON, Canada!

I know you are having a nice visit with your sister. I have a friend to share a birthday greeting with. I will send the info shortly. She is the nicest lady. It is a small world, her grand daughter went to school with Nick. Now Hannah is in the Navy in Saudi Arabia and my Nick is in Kansas at college! Also I am not sure I told you I saw Claude and His wife and son. They were tickled by the birthday greeting. Claude seems to be getting a little stronger. Anyway I always love what you share here and I LOVE your comments to me. Have a good visit. Hugs Anne
