Pink Saturday Ringing In 2013

It was suggested for Pink Saturday we share ringing in the New Year.  As you will see, not much went on around my place.  No doubt there will be plenty of ringing in the the New Year celebrations at  http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog

Reasonably sure there were several that looked like this after the New Year celebration. Not me.  I did enjoy a glass of Braum's eggnog. So good and fattening.

I tried staying up until the ball fell, but sleep overtook me.  New Years Day did nothing to get excited over. Had my black eyed peas at Luby's.  Met some friends and played bingo.  Did not win a thing, but had fun being with them as

ha, ha...you probably beat me. I put the baby to bed at 8:30, the older boys followed shortly after, and I was in bed by 9:30. Big partier here. :D

Happy New Year to you! We live in CA and figure that, if it's after 9 pm the ball has already dropped in New York and so we can go to bed at any time. We are such party animals!

I know what you mean. It was so hard staying up, but we had friends over and they just wouldn't leave, LOL!
Thanks so much for visiting me. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Blessings,
Cindy

There wasn't much going on at our house either. We ate some chip and dip, sat at our computers for awhile, then went to bed around ten.

Happy New Year to you!

What is the pink on the wall, a pompom, a flower? If you want to stay up to see the ball drop, do what I did...sleep till lunch!! Happy New Year Weekend!!!

Thanks goodness for winter holidays and eggnog. I love the stuff and reward myself with plenty during the holidays.

We didn't party either, LV... That's not our idea of fun.. BUT--we did stay up and watch the ball fall in Times Square. AND--we had some of that fattening Eggnog too... YUM....

Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Betsy

Happy Pink Saturday, Meme - and blessings in this new year to you! Good to catch up with the Blogland gang - loved your Vintage Thingies Keepers - I have my own stash of stuff like that. Sounds like an interesting blog post sometime.
Joy!

It was a quiet year for me as well. No grandkids this time - just one adorable granddog. We had fun working through my storage unit full of plenty of weeding and decluttering - but also some delightful treasures like cards from loved ones who are no longer with us.

I did get the grandkids - and the sweet hugs - a couple of days later, though. A sweet week all around. Hoping your week is sweet too! Happy New Year!

As I'm coming up for 82 I'm happy to make your acquaintance. I wonder how your life differs from mine in Australia and I wonder how different our memories are.

Hi LV!

This was the first year Jamie and I made it to midnight in several years! Probably because we had a week old baby who wanted to eat every couple of hours! :)

Hope this year is a great one for you...the Woody Woodpecker picture cracks me up... :)

Good morning LV, I am on my way visiting as many Pinkies as I can today. I'm glad you went out with friends and enjoyed your day.

I fell asleep before midnight too. However, Bill woke me up forty minutes before midnight because I wanted to bake two triple berry pies for New Years Day. I got them in the oven just before the ball dropped. We had a glass of champagne, waited for the pies to bake and went to bed. Not very exciting huh? The next day we had 13 family members for Dinner. That was fun.

Wishing you a wonderful 2013.
Love, Jeanne

It sounds as if your New Year celebrations were as exciting as ours. We did, however, manage to stay up to see the ball drop (barely!).
