REDnesday with Sue

Sue loves tins of all kinds. I featured this one just for her since it was REDnesday. For many great reds this time of the year. go to http://suelovescherries.blogspot.com and enjoy the show.
Just an old red tin I saw at an estate sale. Not sure why I bought it, or what I will do with it.

Skiing is one thing I have never done and never will. At least, there was a speck of red.

LV,

I used to collect old vintage cans because they used to be how products were sold. There are some very creative slogans, pictures and various containers which make them very sought after by collectors.

I too, unfortunately have given up skiing too many knee problems and being in the cold, well, I'd rather sit by a fire and watch it!

Hi LV, I love that old red tin... I'm sure you bought it since it was RED!!!! Right????

I have a friend who collects those old tins --and she has a huge bunch of them.

I've never skied either --and never will... ha

Your red tin would look pretty with some poinsettias for the holidays. You have an eagle eye spotting the red on the slopes.
thanks for stopping by today.

Always enjoy Rednesday, since red is one of my favorite colors. Your red tin is a really nice looking piece, and could surely brighten up any place that needed it. Hope you have a great day!

I tried to ski on our honeymoon, fell flat on my butt before I even got started, and spent the rest of the time in the lodge drinking hot chocolate. Are people MAD that they would put big slippery sticks on their feet and go down slopes? I collect tins, too! I love them, I collect the little ones. What do you think was in this one?

That's a great old tin - and perfect for this time of the year. I hardly ever see old tins at the thrifts - and if I do, they are beat to pieces!

I love your red tin. I have a few. They must be popular because I see so many of them.

No I've never been skiing before either. At 72 I think it might be a little late to start! :0)

Happy Rednesday

Yes, those are the best cookies! I brought some coins with me when we cleaned up my Grandma's estate. My grandparents on both sides were close and I figure it might have been a gift Noni gave Grandma. They are classic Italian almond cookies that I remember since my childhood!

I'm definitely with you on skiing. It requires snow, 'nuff for me to stray home!

Yes, Sue will love your red tin. Any tin with red steals my heart. I haven't skied since college days. Fun when I was younger.

I like that red tin. I think that tin may have held some meringue type cookies with Amaretto. Or at least I had one years ago that may be a replica. Woo Hoo! You can pick those reds lady!
