Showers of Flowers/Outdoor Wednesday

How sweet it was when you went outside and saw sights like this. No more in Texas. These are some of mine that have gone to glory. Drop by Susan's Outdoor Wednesday to see some very pretty outdoor scenes. She is waiting for you at http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com.

I can relate. I'm fighting a losing battle trying to keep trees alive. I've decided to sacrifice the lawn and just concentrate on the large trees. We're still allowed to water, so the slab and big trees are going to be getting all the water from now on.

Ah, bougainvillea....I love it, it's one of my favorites; I have a hot pink one out the front in my garden, but it's now wet season and it is not flowering....during the hot season, it's very bright and fullsome....

These bougainvillea flowers thrive well in the summer heat. I love their bright colors!

We don't have much left here in Tennessee, either, but I certainly enjoyed the beautiful flowers you shared here.

Your plants are pretty-wish you'd get a break on the heat and a good rain!

Very pretty, I do hope your weather breaks soon, here's hoping for cooler temps and rain, rain, rain!

With the heat in Texas, it is no wonder nothing is blooming, but you have these beauties to remind you of what can be. Thanks so much for dropping in to visit.

Impossible to keep flowers alive in the kind of summer y'all are having ;>). Be glad for air conditioning -- otherwise I'm sure people would be fading just like that!
