Pink Saturday

Welcome to my world of Pink Saturday. Beverly at http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog makes it possible for us to enjoy so many wonderful pinks each week. Thank you.

One of my surviving bougainvillea baskets.
How many of you have a pink powder jar? I found this little lady in an antique mall.

How sweet it smells.

If you would like to visit a new friend, drop by http://heartfeltliving-karen.blogspot.com. Karen and her "A Heartfelt Living" blog is a very nice place to spend part of your day.

Hi LV - No, I don't have a pink powder jar - and am feeling a very large gap in my life! I think I had definitely better start looking for one or I'll never aspire to Gracious Living, lol.

I've done a mad Uncle Sam blinkie this week (needless to say, the LinkUP thingie didn't work and only gave me a blank grey avatar - and won't let me edit!)

Happy Pink Saturday and a hug from the UK.

Hi! I'm intrigued by your bougainvilla blooms! I just planted two bougainvilla plants, and they're growing like the dickens! I've never seen plants get so entusiastic; they're bushy and green and twice as big as they were two weeks ago. BUT, they're not blooming much. They're not in full sun, and I guess that's why they have few blooms. Do you think so? I have them in pots on each side of my front door; do you think I'll have to move them?

My grandmother had a row of little glass ladies that were decanters and perfume bottles. They were displayed in her bathroom on a shelf. Most were hand painted and looked like they may have been dressed for a ball. She allowed my sister and I to take them down and carefully play with them.
Your pink pressed glass lady reminds me of them.
Have a pinkishly beautiful Independence Day weekend.

Oh LV - we need rain so badly, don't we. We didn't even try with the plants since we've had almost no rain since January. And the heat has been brutal. You probably won't have fireworks either - stay cool and watch them on tv. xo Nancy

I have never seen a pink powder jar like that. It is lovely and a great find. Have a wonderful weekend. I love the vintage fiddle in your previous post. It did look like it was the lamp base in one photo, I had to read and look again to make sure.
