Vintage Thingies Thursday

How about joining me for a spot of tea with Coloradolady on her Vintage Thingies Thursday.

A very well taken care of 15 piece China toy tea set from late 50s. It was made in Japan. The little girl (she is now a 54 year old lady) that had this apparently did not care to serve tea. She enjoyed doing other things and did not play much with the set. Mint condition.

This is the original box.

What a sweet little tea set! And very amazing that the box is still intact. I wasn't a tea party girl either when I was little. Maybe if I had a set like this, I would have been having tea parties all the time!
Happy VTT!

Hello LV!
I had a set very much like this one (only in pinks) and used it all the time. What a treasure to have these still in the box! :)
Thanks for visiting my little blog!

What a wonderful Tea Set, and how lucky for you that the previous owner was not as Young as you! This is my first VTT and I have some ceramics made in Japan as my first Vintage Thingy Post. I'm betting you'll recognize them. Come on over to CollectInTexas Gal and see.

Oh, that's a real treasure. Maybe her caring mom kept it up to keep it safe, only to use it under her eye. What a lovely set. Rosie

Totally wow ... I would have 'killed' for that when I was a kid. I had the prettiest white and pink china tea set but it got played with so much I've no idea where it went. So sweet.

So sweet and pretty. I did play with mine and they are long gone I'm afraid.

I had a little blue willow tea set. Alas, it is all gone now. I absolutely love them! Thanks for sharing.
