NOW and WHEN

======================NOW============================

The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on my life. Attitude, to me, is more important than the past, education, money, circumstances, failures, successes, and what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, or skill. It will make or break a company, a church, or a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can DO is play on the string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is ten percent what happens to me and ninety percent how I react to it. And so it is with you, WE ARE IN CHARGE OF OUR ATTITUDES.

=====================WHEN=============================

When you reach 80, the thrills you will experience will be exciting. You will hardly be able to contain yourself. In the GOLDEN years:

You cannot see.
You cannot pee.
You cannot chew.
You cannot do.
Your memory shrinks.
Your hearing stinks.
No sense of smell.
You look like hell.
Your body's drooping.
You got trouble pooping.

YOU WILL HAVE AT LAST REACHED THE GOLDEN YEARS.

No offense intended, that's just the way it is.

Haaahahaaa...G'morning, LV..
I so agree that attitude is what it's all about. We can choose, every single morning, if it will be a good day or a bad. No matter what happens, good or bad, the state of our attitude is how we will handle what comes along.
I love life, always have, and loving something makes you want to handle it a lot better!!

Attitude is what you make it. Having a positive, bright attitude is so important. I've been working on mine as it has suffered over the years. Thanks for reminding me!

Amen to this! It's all about attitude isn't it. Love this post!!! Thanks for your visits and lovely comments. I hope I'm blogging like you when I'm in my 80s ... seriously ;-)

It's been MONTHS since I've shared my morning musings and I want to get back in the habit so I started today.

I can see all of this coming fast and I'm 65 this year.
As much as I wish I could make everyones lives easier, there is a limit and a lot of those limitations are physical.
Attitude is the one thing that I can control and I agree with you about it being the bigger percentage of what we can do. I think attitude is just about everything in life.
Thank you for such an honest post..., and the humor too.
