Pink Saturday

Today is the second Pink Saturday Christmas with Beverly at How Sweet the Sound. Our theme for today is one of our favorite holiday decorations and why it is special.

These are the first stockings we had as a family: my husband, son and myself. I made these back in the 60s. They are not designed for Santa to put anything in. Since there is no longer a family of three, just me, I hang them every Christmas as a great memory from the past. I am not big on decorating anymore, but these will be put up. If you notice there are no fancy stocking hangers, just plain old thumbtacks. Also, the decorations are glued on, not sewn like today.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL MY FRIENDS THAT SHARE PINK SATURDAY'S WITH US.

Happy Pink Saturday LV...
I am so lovin this tree sweetie. It is pink and so beautiful. You did an awesome job. I just love it.

I love your stockings. What a wonderful treasure for you. I so love all my old ornaments and stockings, that I have had for my kids since they were born, and since Tony and I were married, almost 34 years ago. I have the biggest tree yet to put up and it has all the old ornaments on it. The kids and grandkids love it the most. So pretty. I even have some of that old plastic garland, that looks like real popcorn strung. I have had it for years, and every year I put it on with pride. I love the way the old fashioned look was.

Your tree is beautiful and I love the stockings. I am sending you holidays hugs sweetie for making me feel warm tonight. Thank you so much for sharing with me. I love to come here and visit.

Stop by and read my pink post. I so love to share with you.

Country hugs and much love, Sherry

I love your old stockings. I had some similar ones growing up. Ours were put up with a thumb tack also.
Hope you have a wonderful holiday and happy Pink Saturday.

We don't need elaborate decorations or a big tree or numerous gifts under a tree. All any of us needs is to carry the spirit of Christmas in our hearts and to share it all year long with everyone we meet.

Thank you so much for sharing your blog with me today. Yes, I'm crazy about ♥PINK♥ but I'm also devoted to visiting some of the nicest blogs in cyberspace.

Hoping your weekend is filled with peace.

I apologize for leaving the wrong link to my Pink Saturday post when I visited earlier ... it's on Happily Retired Gal rather than Small Reflections. Guess I wasn't fully awake.
